Who we are

Esseza Ministries is a Ugandan nonprofit organization committed to the fight against childhood cancers and related illnesses. Our mission began with the story of little Esseza Kafuko, a one-year-old girl bravely battling a life-threatening tumor. Her courage inspired a vision to save lives and offer hope to vulnerable children and families affected by pediatric cancer.

For over 14 years, we have made a measurable impact through healthcare support, advocacy, community outreach, and financial assistance programs. At Esseza Ministries, we believe no child should suffer or die due to lack of access to cancer care.

Early Detection and Prevention

Childhood cancer is often detected too late in Uganda. We aim at early diagnosis and prevention by educating parents, schools, and health workers on warning signs and symptoms. Our awareness campaigns, community outreach, and healthcare partnerships help identify cases early, improving survival outcomes.
